Leo kept walking until he stopped in front of one of the larger portraits to really look at it. He wondered if it was new. He had never taken notice of it before. Probably because of the fact that he usually hurried past this corridor to get back to the library.
Footsteps echoed up the halls as Sophia made her way towards the portraits, though they were not quick, brisk and purposeful sounded like they normally were when the Transfiguration mistress walked anywhere. No, the steps were slow, slow because her old bones couldn't go that fast.
Old bones...
Her once vibrant dark shiny locks were now silver curls, shiny and luscious but still..silver. And her beautiful olive skinned face was now lined with wrinkles, wrinkles she had fought desperately against but what seemed to multiple with every waking minute. Nothing she tried worked.
Her face lit up some what when she spotted Leo.
"Leobald.." She said hoarsely.
