Tessa went up to get the milk and brought it back to her work space. However, as she set down the milk, she frowned as she looked at her cauldron. Had she cleaned it? The beginning part of class was fuzzy... as if it had happened days, not minutes ago. She sighed and brought out her wand, casting a cleaning charm on everything again, just to be safe. This felt familiar, had she done it before?

The cleaning done, she measured out the milk carefully and then added it to the clean cauldron. Then, once that was ready, she lit the fire under the cauldron, keeping the head on high. She turned over the minute timer, watching the sand slowly trickle down- it was much more reliable than her memory at this point.

3... 2... 1...

As the last grain of sand fell, Tessa turned the heat of the fire down to medium, watching the cauldron carefully as she waited for the next step.

Had she cleaned everything? She couldn't remember... she began cleaning her other tools as she waited.
