They could figure it out for themselves after all, though for right now; he needed to go off and change into a suit which of course needed to have house colours. At least it wasn’t tights, that would have been where the line was drawn seeing as there was absolutely no way that the sixteen year old was about to get into that territory, it could have been left for the groundskeeper seeing as this wasn’t ballet and even then; that was a whole other discussion.
Walking into the Slytherin changing area, he quickly looked over what was there before picking out a Slytherin coloured suit and re-emerging to notice Lily in her blue dress; of course blue suited her and honestly she looked beautiful. At least the suit wasn’t too bad after all though green and silver together didn’t exactly work for something formal. Now the question was what next? They were all dressed up, did that mean it was going to be a waltz, or something fancy like that? Unfortunately it was time for patience and that was never his forte. It seemed like she’d gotten ready quicker than most of the others. In fact, as Lily had left the changing area, she’d even still seen a few students still practicing the Cupid Shuffle. That was interesting. It made her wonder if she was the only one who could still play the song in her head after it wasn’t actually playing in the room anymore. Of course, there was the possibility those who were still dancing hadn’t even noticed the song had stopped and everything, too. They could have just been thinking about the steps outside of the music, but anyway, there were still a few people who had changed into their formalwear already. Not many other Ravenclaws, but it was hard not to notice the Hufflepuff boy who had been talking to Lux before the lesson had begun, and West, of course. She also saw Ana and another little Slytherin girl. Apparently all the Claws were taking their time changing, but that was okay. She was happy with what she had found on the racks and everything. Plus, it appeared like the groundskeeper had either abandoned the idea of wearing tights or he just hadn’t found any.
As she’d continued looking around the room, suddenly her green eyes had landed on Austin standing over near the Slytherin boys changing area. She hadn’t even noticed him go over there to change, but then, she’d been pretty focused on making sure she’d gotten to her area so maybe she’d just missed it. Now that she’d seen him, though, she headed over. At least her dress wasn’t so long that she had to worry about tripping. That was the advantage of wearing heels, along with being tall in the first place. “Hey,” she said once she got over to him, giving him a smile. “You look nice. Very into House spirit.” That had been sort of the requirement, of course, but still, it seemed like a compliment. “So you lied. You can dance,” she added, still smiling. It was teasing, not an accusation. At least, it wasn’t really an accusation.
