This was interesting. And fun. And Kenrick was intrigued. Would Jorge (Kenrick knew his name, he'd been paying attention) tell on what had happened to him? It was clear that he wasn't always this... follicly challenged.
Kenrick didn't respond to Jorge straight away; it was a habit of his that he often weighed his words, and the situation, carefully before speaking aloud. This often meant there was a short silence before he voiced any sort of opinion or question or comment. Of course, this meant the floor was open for someone else to jump in.
As Kenrick opened his mouth to comment, perhaps even make a pun (HEADline... eh? ... no? okay), Basil started talking again. The mention of Knockturn Alley piqued Kenrick's curiosity, but before he could say anything, Skeeter started on about.................... sanitising. Kenrick looked over, gave a long pause, and then spoke.
"I touched a lot of things on my way in." Door handles, doors, walls. Gosh, maybe even the ceilings. And a whole lot of air. Kenrick shuffled the parchments again, and butt-shuffled a little further forward on the sofa like he was about to get up. "I was miraculously cured last week," he said.
Pause.
"Do you require a note from my Healer?"
It was an honest question, maybe Basil would feel comforted about the confirmation. Still, Kenrick wasn't sure he appreciated the insinuation that he was still a carrier of germs. He made the effort to keep the sass held back, though.
He'd been flicking through the parchments and had now extracted the pages for his own personal room-searching. Tucking this away into his pocket he held them out so Jorge could see some of his notes and ideas for articles. If he still wanted to see them, that is. In fact, Kenrick was interested in seeing how Jorge would react to Basil's insinuations.
