Chyeah, pogo sticks totally were transportation, and Toby was glad Hadley agreed with him. He beamed, and was about to point out that he used his as a mode of transportation around the caste and grounds, but they were moving on.

Uhhh... hm. Toby was a bit slow on this one, and the answer didn't occur to him until other people started speaking. Walking would have been his answer, and then maybe a cart, but Ella's answer of riding horses was one Tobias wouldn't have thought of. That made him start thinking of the real olden days, when there were dinosaurs, which made him start wondering if wizards were around then, and what about dragons?

Toby tried hard not to get pulled into that line of thinking, and attempted to concentrate on the class. He wasn't going to give an answer; was just going to write notes for this question and listen up, but he soon found his hand going up.

"I reckon people floated on water with rafts and boats and swam pretty early, but I dunno if that would have been earlier than riding dinosau- err... horses. Earlier than riding horses."
