They're the bread for dinner.'

Donny smiled, noticing her raised brow. 'Like my nails?!' Of course she did. Girls liked nail polish. And boys... did sometimes. Donny just liked the colours... and the pretty girls that painted his nails. ~~Especially Elodie.~~ ....Cucumber was a food name. Not a people's name. He grinned and examined CUCUMBER. She didn't look like a cucumber. 'Why cucumber? Do you eat them lots? Some people eat them with peanut butter. Not me. Do you.. Do you know that there's sea cucumbers?' He rambled on, Ariel was a sea thing too, he'd heard that somewhere. 'Ariel eats them. Maybe. I like the sea.' And she was Ariel, so that meant she liked sea-stuff, which meant they should be friends. It made perfect sense.
