The broomshed was starting to get quite full. It hadn't been constructed with this high occupancy in mind. But, what was one more in the grand scheme of things? It was a nice enough day outside, after all, so they could always spread out.
"
Greeting, Miss Hedge. It is truly a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Or at least she hoped it would be. "
Certainly, my dear. Feel free to drop by my office any time." Then again, it was quite a long walk if she happened to be busy at the time. "
Or set up an appointment if you want to be sure I'm free. Either way is fine." Good, she was here to help after all. Tiara hadn't been sure. Just as she was about to suggest a job, Sander piped up and offered Tessa a spot near him. "
That sounds like a fine idea, Sander, thank you."
Tiara gestured towards the door. "
It's a beautiful day outside and I'm lucky to simply be alive, so I am doing well, thank you." What a thoughtful young lady.
Tiara went back to working on the broom she was currently trimming up. After a few moments, she noticed that she had somehow missed the memo that there was a parade going on.
Yes, definitely a parade of green and gray. West seems to have persuaded his whole team to come! Forward thinking on his part. She decided to skip the suggestions of tasks as they all seemed to be joining their Captain and receiving instructions.
Scanning what was quickly turning into a crowd, she took in the progress. Speaking loudly, she said,
"I think we're near halfway done, everyone. Well done, keep up the good work and good pace!" Now if only they would put this much effort into their academic studies!
Hearing someone speak to her, she turned quickly to locate the source. "
Ohh!" she exclaimed as a line of pain shot from the base of her skull down to the tip of her spinal cord. Best to move a bit slower in the future, apparently. "
Lucas, that is an excellent question. I have put in a request with the Headmistress, but so far there has been little progress." Meaning that Anastasia had glared daggers at her.
Some of her other senses may be dulling lately, but smell was not one of them. "
Brownies? Lovely, I'd love one!" Tiara reached for one and brought it up to her lips, savoring the delicious morsel. "
These are the best brownies I have tasted in quite some time. Three points to Slytherin for sharing such a delight with us!"
Oh yes. She was definitely getting far too generous
in her old age.
Tiara chuckled. She inclined her head in greeting towards the freshly minted Prefect.
Interesting. Based on what she had heard from others, she had been expecting quite the reaction from this one. Word traveled, after all. She was pleased to see that he gave no complaint.
A new Gryffindor walked in shortly afterwards. Had she met her before..? Tiara didn't think so. "
Good afternoon, young lady. I'm Professor Tyner. And what might your name be?" she asked politely. Guessing that she probably needed and assignment, the official added, "
We need a few more people to polish broom handles, if you'd like to grab some rags and a tin of polish."
