Although he was a little grateful to be off his feet. He was just less than enthusiastic about the methodology she had used to get him into this position.
He looked over at the black box on his desk with a heavy heart. So much for having a stellar activity to start the term off with. Not to mention completing his lesson. In fact, he was going to need to rethink his remaining lessons. Oh sweet solstice what had he ever done to deserve this?
"Heeee -- Heeeeeee ----Headmistress Truebridge is right. Class dimiiiiiiii OUCH sssssed," he announced, wincing through the pain it took to do something as simple as breathe. "Finish re-re-READING the chaaaa AAAAAH pter on the Big Bang Theory on your OWN. Hooo OOOOOOOOOOOOOW mework will be posted OOOOOO OOOOW OOON announcement board...." Whenever he got out of the hospital wing.
And then he tried to put on a brave smile for his students as they departed - SOME before HE had dismissed them and this did NOT sit well with him - despite his eyes being a bit misty. Lux was still uncertain that the Headmistress was doing much good, though at least the Professor was not howling in pain anymore. That was always a good thing. As they were told they were basically dismissed, she gathered her stuff up, but only actually put everything away when her Professor confirmed it.
Listening to what he instructed them to do, she got up and approached him "I hope you feel better soon, Professor Flamsteed. Would you like a Chocolate Frog?" Chocolate Frogs helped her feel better, and he was in pain. She did want him to feel better. |
