Derry hadn't noticed West's approach, and was too busy trying to use telekinesis to pick up her knife that she hadn't even realised he was next to her until he attack hugged her. She had an apple with a bite out of it in her hand, which with her surprise flailing flew straight up into the air as she jumped. "Asdfjkhsdjkl.." As West detached herself Derry caught the apple before it landed in her goblet and took a second to recompose herself and adjust to the real world.

"Hey." she managed after a moment. "You walk too quietly." Which was probably not true, Derry just had a talent for not noticing half of what was going on around her. "You alright?" She took another bite of her apple and eyed his plate, he always ate so much... she was impressed.
