"How do you know how interesting a person is until you engage in conversation? You never know, they could have an interesting connection that could change your life. Or something in common to bond over." Though he very much doubted the latter. Plus Terry could bake and who didn't like food? No one. Exactly.

He watched her take the stool with no thank you and his opinion on the girl decreased ever more. Rude. How could she live with herself? He decided not to take a stool, in case there really was some form of wood rot and it would collapse from underneath him but instead leaned against the wall next to the water cooler. He wasn't going to give up.

"Are you going to give me the absolute pleasure of telling me your name?" he asked sarcastically although it was unclear in his tone of voice whether he was being or not.
So he wasn't going to sit. Instead he'd decided that standing next to her was a good idea. How did people not realize when they weren't welcome? Olly sighed again and took another sip of her water and looked up at him. "And? Do you have something interesting to say that could change my life?" Because if he didn't then this was a moot point he'd just made.

Before she got to say anything else, her eyes fell on a certain professor who seemed to be just as wary of the food as she was. Nonetheless, Olly did NOT want him to see her because that might make him come over and want to engage in conversation. No, thank you.

So without really thinking about it, she reached out and grabbed the boy's arm, tugging him closer to her and more behind the water cooler. Out of sight. Because if Professor Flamsteed noticed the boy he would notice her too.

"Olly." She replied absently, not really paying attention to what he was saying, her eyes fixed on the professor and...the ghost that had just entered. A loud ghost. One she hadn't seen before. Why had she not left this room when she'd had the chance?
