Were things actually improving in the issues marked by the pictures? Simon hadn't managed to check in with Josh.

"I'm here with the report you asked for," he said, mentioning the assignment requirement and holding the folder out for Emily to take.

She didn't need to look up, or away, as a figure entered the room, diligently closing the door behind them. Bennett was a good egg, and proving himself to be useful. Exhaling the smallest of sighs Emily turned to acknowledge her.. her... auror/security/person.. yep. She offered him a small smile, her head bobbing with a nod. "Excellent, thank you," she replied, taking the folder he held out to her. Immediately she let it fall open and started thumbing through the document, speed reading as it were.

But as fun as reading was, hearing it straight from the horses mouth was equally useful and much more efficient. On initial scans, it was clear that Bennett hadn't found anything MLE worthy in the sweep, perhaps it was simply what most people thought, that those mutants and their acidic saliva had.. unhinged the Ministry. Not their fault, was all she needed to know.
"Now.... security... things which require our attention?"

Yes Bennett, it was a question, an open one at that. She was listening, and waiting to be impressed, still lazily flicking through the report. She'd read it thoroughly a little later on. For now, she would listen to him speak.
