Leah had finished her breakfast, finishing with another goblet of pumpkin juice from stopping her tongue burning again. She had reached the massive doors when a girl at the blue (Ravenclaw) table caught her attention. She was dressed... weirdly. Leah had never seen anything like that before, but then she never cared much about fashion.

Thinking that it would not hurt to stop by and ask what type of clothes that was, making another friend in the meantime, Leah walked to the girl and sat down next to her. "Hi, I'm Leah. I'm a first year. Are you one too? Only I think I remember seeing you somewhere." Was it the sorting? Anyway, to the main point. "Could I ask er..." How would she say it? Then her shirt, which said 'New York City' on it, caught the girl's attention. "New York City? Wait... Isn't that in the States? Are you from there?" Cool. No wonder she dressed differently. New York style.
