Freaking out a bit but deciding to say hello to her, Leah walked to the (enthusiastic) professor and took a seat awkwardly next to her. "Hello, professor. My name's Leah Abbott. I'm a first year." Polite introduction? Yes, she thought so. "Could I ask you what subject you teach? I'll be having your class soon, I think." A swift glance at the flags told the girl that the professor was supporting both houses. Maybe she should have prepared something like that too. Quote:

She walked up to the two, and smiled at the them. "Hello professor, My name is Bri," The 1st year introduced herself before sitting down next to Leah. "Hello Leah! How are you?" The brunette asked brightly.
The 1st year blushed before asking, "Umm.... Can either of you please describe the game, before it starts? I have never played nor seen a game...." Bri trailed off The flag waving slowed to a stop as the first year sat down next to her. New supporters! How wonderful! "Miss Abbott, it's vonderful to meet you." she smiled warmly to the youngster, spotting a girl just as equally young approaching. "Vhy of course. I teach defense against the dark arts. Not one you'll vont to miss."
Gaze flickering over to the second Puff, she gave the young girl a smile with the same warmth she'd given Leah. "Zradsti, Bri." Last name, she'd no doubt find on her roster for class, and she was very much content with letting the two students chat with one another, but the question... She hadn't very much interacted with the students during these matches much. An opportunity to do so was always well taken!
"It's quite similar to marbles actually, if, you've ever played it before." she spoke up, accent present as ever. "There are two players, one from each team if you haff one, who play per round of the match. Each side has a bag of gobstones, very similar to how a marble looks, the only difference is...vell, I vould not dare spoil the surprise." Chuckling softly, she continued. "There are a variety of gobstones games you can play, but today, they are playing a version called Jack Stone. This is vhere you try and roll your gobstone closest to the Jack Stone in the middle of the playing field. Whoever's stone ends up closest vins their team points, and whoever has the most points at the end of the match...vins!"
"Don't be fooled by most of these students playing though." Fiddling with her flags, she shook her head somewhat. "It's a lot harder to play than accidentally breaking your popsicle in half." OOC: Zradsti means "Hello" in Bulgarian |
