Crap. She was so going to be in trouble. He had said not to waste the schools money, and here she was with a mess of a potion. She shrugged a tiny bit. "I'm not really sure. I'm not a good cook. One time I accidentally put a cup of cinnamon into the coffee cake instead of a tablespoon." She was babbling now. Time to focus. What had she done exactly?

"Um, maybe I did the water thing wrong? I watched everyone else, and tried to copy them?" Or maybe it had been the cauldron? "Also I didn't know how to clean my cauldron, but I didn't think it mattered because I just bought it, so it was clean already, right?" Gwen wrung her hands together, waiting for the response.
