"Hey Cass - congrats on the badge!" he said with a grin. Slytherin was always in such GOOD hands.
Speaking of, when would they find out who replaced his gran? Who was the new head of house? HE NEEDED TO KNOWWW!
"
Thanks, Caleb," she replied to the kid with a matching grin of her own. His name of course, she remembered well because her memory served her well in this but not in other fields. Say like studying? She wasn't that great in that since she had to put lots of effort. But at least that'd pay off as her results proved.
She watched as Caleb greeting Theo next and contained her chuckle. Did Theo know that all those kids would be looking up to him or maybe just stick around to know the secrets of how he earned the badge on his chest.

"Nice badge, Prefect Somerlad." He said as if his heart wasn't racing at this the exciting confirmation of his plot to make Cassia the house prefect in a post-Hudson Slytherin House. He could hardly wait to explore the possibilities of anything this could mean, but mostly he couldn't wait to be the acting Al-Vizier of the lower classmen. He rather thought the position would suit him well and how could he be denied when it was he who implemented the whole thing.
It was faces like those she missed during the summer. Despite her seeing most of her friends, she now felt that those whom she called ickles had their own presence and effect in her life which she got used to during her school months but missed when she was at home. "
I actually did. It was fun." she told him.
"
Glad you like it," she winked at him lifting her hand and adjusting it uselessly since it hadn't tilted since she last checked its angle. "
You ready for your second year?" she asked him knowing that he'd know she wasn't talking in an academic prospect.

"Thank you," Beverly returned shyly. "I'm Beverly Wayne...I'm new." LAME. Someone curse her now. >.<
"
Nice to meet you, Beverly." Cassia responded registering the name. The second piece of information wasn't necessary though since the blond had already figured it out. She could now humbly say that she'd recognize all of her house-mates if not by name then by look. Cue why she introduced herself. Something she usually did even before the badge was given to her.
Though, Cassia now was curious about another thing. "
What year are you?" she opted for not guessing out loud because surprisingly some took it personally when reckoned as younger or older.

"I see you had a good one," she assumed, eyeing the badge.

Cassia wondered if she looked that small when she was Sophie's age. She probably was. Especially that she'd always been short for her age unlike the second-year here. "
Yeah. Fun time flies by," the sixth-year nodded all knowingly. "
It was quite enjoyable, yes," she agreed amused and wanting to point out that the badge news came at the end of summer but then deciding against it.

Welcome to Slytherin," Cassia smirked right back at the girl in a what she meant as a greeting. Not intending to scare kids away of course.
