Which is why she was asking about the tickets in the first place. "I'm chasing five tickets." Cue awkward smile!shrug, and she didn't feel comfortable making that six, purely because she was tagging along with the Isaacs clan, not leading them. That being said, even though it was a large event, there was still the possibility of them bumping into each other - or meeting up even. "Still see you there though, probably." Maybe...

"Security is always an issue. I'm not exactly sure how far along the liaisons are on that but if you haven't heard too much about it just yet I'd assume it's coming." The QWC was a huge event after all and security was right up there on the necessities list with actual players and teams. And of course it sounded important, HE was important.

She looked excited and anxious about his question. A good sign. She was totally going to say yes and they'd get to spend the whole match and the lead-up and the after parties together. It was going to be so great, Ellis could just picture it.

And then the whole thing went down in flames like a troll trying to ride a Cleansweep into a warehouse of self-starting fireworks. She had plans already. "Oh, yeah that's cool too." Please Merlin say it wasn't with another guy. Who was he kidding? Of course it was. Look at her she was a knock out and super smart too, Recard had just waited to late. He blew it.

He took a big bite of his sandwich and chewed as she spoke. Oh yeah, it was shame Emily, it truly was. But hey, five tickets not just two. And she made it sound like she would have gone with him. And a possibility of meeting up? He'd take that chance. "Oh well, yeah I can try and score you a few tickets." He said after swallowing his obnoxiously large bite of turkey. "I'll just have to keep my head up and maybe drag my eyes away from the plays to see if I see a certain department head then."

Not that he would mind doing this. The game may take a back seat at times if this was the case.
