Sitting straighter in her seat, shuffling forward so she was parked on the edge of her seat, Emily examined the spread he was offering her. She'd noticed he likes spoiling her, which was certainly interesting though she couldn't understand why. Being spoilt wasn't something she was used to, nor was it something she liked under most circumstances, but this... she could handle. "Mmm..." she murmured, eyes still analysing the fooood, her hand hovering for a moment before selecting something that resembled salad and pastrami. "How goes the planning for the World Cup?" she asked, opening the packaging absentmindedly, her eyes back on him. Though, speaking of the World Cup... she'd been meaning to track him down, "I've been meaning to ask you... you wouldn't be able to hook me up with some tickets, come time? Would you?" She had loose plans for these after all, and fully intended to follow through with them. It wasn't everyday people offered to subject themselves to her company, so she wasn't about to let Gavin weasel his way out of it.

Emily manages to take a quick bite of her sandwich, chewed and swallowed.. all the while nodding in agreement at Ellis' question. "Always busy," she added once the food was clear, "crime doesn't sleep.." and so neither should she, apparently.
"Slow and steady." The Quidditch World Cup was a very big event and there were so many things that went along with planning it that Ellis had never even imagined. He'd played the game so many times (not making it to the QWC incidentally) but he'd never helped plan one from the ground up. There were so many different things besides just Games and Sports involved too.

Oooh a question though, one she had been meaning to ask him. That meant she had been thinking about him. Something that was definitely good for Recard's mind. "Tickets? Sure! I [I]am[/I working in the epicenter of the event you know." he grinned raising his eyebrows. "I was actually planning on asking you to come with me." he said taking a bite of his sandwich, and looking at her expectantly.

That probably made her day right?

Crime didn't have to sleep in Ellis's opinion, not with the prospect of possibly spending the Quidditch World Cup with Emily. She would have to go with him, duh.
