He began to lay out the sandwiches, crisps, and bottles of water and lemonade as she moved her chair closer to his. "Well I like spoiling you. And I need to get out of the office down there. I haven't been out in the field meeting players in a while and paper work is dreadfully dull." Not to mention there was a pretty lady here on level two he could eat with instead of his friends on seven. They'd been to dinner and gotten drinks as well as hung out around the Ministry but Ellis still wasn't sure exactly how things were going for the two of them. He'd have to still try and figure that out soon.

"So," he said as he pushed the food and drinks closer to her so she could have first choice, "Have you been busy today?" By the looks of the papers stacked on her desk it would seem so.

All she could do was smirk as Ellis offered her reassurances and that innocent and childish gesture across his heart. Charming. He was charming. It was perhaps the best way to describe him.
"Good," she uttered, happy to let it go and move things along.

Sitting straighter in her seat, shuffling forward so she was parked on the edge of her seat, Emily examined the spread he was offering her. She'd noticed he likes spoiling her, which was certainly interesting though she couldn't understand why. Being spoilt wasn't something she was used to, nor was it something she liked under most circumstances, but this... she could handle. "Mmm..." she murmured, eyes still analysing the fooood, her hand hovering for a moment before selecting something that resembled salad and pastrami. "How goes the planning for the World Cup?" she asked, opening the packaging absentmindedly, her eyes back on him. Though, speaking of the World Cup... she'd been meaning to track him down, "I've been meaning to ask you... you wouldn't be able to hook me up with some tickets, come time? Would you?" She had loose plans for these after all, and fully intended to follow through with them. It wasn't everyday people offered to subject themselves to her company, so she wasn't about to let Gavin weasel his way out of it.

Emily manages to take a quick bite of her sandwich, chewed and swallowed.. all the while nodding in agreement at Ellis' question. "Always busy," she added once the food was clear, "crime doesn't sleep.." and so neither should she, apparently.
