Right towards the animal she had been trying to get him to let her have for MONTHS. "I want a Kneazle." Since both the felines she had at home were cats. "And I've never had a toad before."

Mm. Wife!loves. Carter liked those. A lot.

The pushing not so much.

A kneazle. "Do we not already have one?" Or did they have normal cats? He didn't even know the difference. Was there one? There must have been otherwise they'd all be called cats. But they weren't.

Oh. Wait. She was still talking. He blinked. A toad. "We're not keeping it in the house." Because they had a baby. And kids stuck things in their mouths. He did not approve of feeding Connor pet toads.
