Ben was looking forward to the fair. He had already made the decision to see about getting a pet for this term and the news of pet event had certainly got his attention. Made things a little easier with having the animals all in one place so he could see what was being offered and try to find the perfect one for him. If that was even really possible. There were so many choices after all, even if some were limited to just staying at home while others could come to Hogwarts with him.
That had been something his parents had made him aware of...the limits for Hogwarts. An owl, toad or cat. Well he wasn't going to limit himself, just see what came up and work from there. And that was what his decision was when he approached the adoption table, his mother standing a few feet away to be there if needed but not be on top of him.
"Hi..." he said, placing down his completed application. "I was thinking about adopting."
