Application still in hand, she hurried over to Archer to be assisted. One application down.. a couple.. more to go..
Archer smiled at the woman as he took the piece of parchment from out of her hand, and reading it over, quite a few times, just to make sure he had everything he needed to know, he held up a finger towards her before disappearing into one of the creature observations. It may have taken him a good few minutes to decide, but he wanted to make sure he found the PERFECT pet for her, and that is exactly what he came back with.
He held out the carrier that held the Puffskein out towards her, so she could decide if he had done a good job. Which he had. He just knew it! "This little critter is named Jolie." Whether or not that stayed the Puffskein's name, that was for the woman to decide. "She's a great pet. She'll even take care of spider problems." If.. the woman had spider problems. Quote:

Archer waited, very patiently for the man to finish, and just like he had done with the other applications he received, once the parchment was in his hand, he read over all the information a few times. He did, however, tear his eyes from off the form a few times during his reading process, to help him decide which pet was right for her. He was just in the middle of re-reading the form for the fourth time when he realized.. "We have just the pet for you!" Of course they did. He placed the form into the pile with all the other completed ones, and after a quick visit in the toad observation, he was back at the table.
He handed the girl the carrier that held her new pet. "That is Timothy. He was rescued when a magical fire burnt down the swamp he lived in." Sad? Very. Quote:

Walking up to the man he handed him the finished adoption application. Seemed like his hand waving was working, and Archer thought perhaps he should just leave it up the entire time. If it got more people over to the table to adopt a pet.
He took the parchment off the boy and only needed to read over this particular application once to know exactly what he.. or they, since it was a joint adoption, should have. "A Kneazle would be perfect, I think." Right? Right. He looked over at the boy, but not waiting to hear if he was correct or not, he disappeared into the Kneazle pens. And once in there, it took him longer to decide on which Kneazle to pick rather than which pet was best for them. Finally, though, he found her. "Freya!" That was the Kneazle's name. "She loves attention. Which is great since this is a joint adoption. No need to worry about her liking someone more than the other." Archer gave the feline a quick scratch under the chin before handing the carrier over to the boy. Quote:

"She tried to make me get an owl or kneazle.'' It was then Adi noticed the man looking at his shirt. Eh? Why was it so fascinating? Oooooh! He finally figured it!
Adi laughed. "I'm not a fan of bats, Mister. They're scary.'' Yep. Unless they were dead. And hadn't he handed over that application yet? He looked down at his hands. Oh! Nope, he hadn't. "Here you go. Toad.'' Just to make sure the man knew he wanted a toad. Okay then. The boy was sure he wanted a toad.
Archer chuckled at just how excited he was before glancing over at his mother who.. definitely didn't seem like a toad person. At least she was letting him get a toad, so that was a good thing. "Who wants an owl or a kneazle when they can have a toad, right?" Right! He took the application from off the boy, all while listening to him talk about bats and how scary they were, and although he himself didn't see anything scary about those creatures, he wasn't going to say anything.
Instead, he simply nodded a nod of understanding before placing the application into the pile of accepted applications. "Well, according to your application, I think a toad would be the perfect pet for you. Let me go get him for you." Archer moved away from the table to pick out one of the toads, and once he was back, he handed the carrier over. "His name is Gus. And I think he will be very happy with you." Just look at him. Croaking away already!
