They were so tiny and innocent-looking. She couldn't stand them. She elbowed her way past a firstie (MysteriesOfFate) to get to the pile of adoption forms, then backed off for a moment to grab a pen and fill one out.
...what best describes your personality? Why would they need to know that? Adrienne shrugged and finished filling out the application anyway, then pushed it across the table in the general direction of a volunteer. "I'd like to adopt a pet, please," she said coldly, ignoring the fact that they were probably already in the middle of helping another person. There, she'd done what she had to, could she take something cute and go now?
Hawthorne shook her head and looked at the person who had shoved her aside. She tapped the older girl on the shoulder.
"Excuse me. That was rude." she said, pushing her thick black rimmed glasses back up onto her nose, her green eyes magnified behind the lenses. Her other hand was on her hip and she didn't look too impressed. She couldn't stand rude people, that is not the way her father raised her.
