As if Blair wasn't already excited enough about the fact she was spending the day with her father it was about to get much better. He had agreed to let her adopt a pet, she was so excited! "Come on Daddy, this way!" She practically dragged him to the counter.
Her father, Martin, waited until there was some space at the counter then lifted one of the forms and started filling it out. He consulted Blair regarding some of the questions which made her feel quite important. Martin handed her the form which she took beaming and guided her in front of him in the queue. Blair waited as patiently as she could, ever so slightly bouncing on the spot.
