She looked winded and very very pregnant, which made him hope against all else that her leaning against the wall right there was just her catching her breath and not in fact the beginning of what might wind up being the most uncomfortable day of his entire life.

The thought almost made chancing the lifts seem worth it but then she spoke and didn't sound at all like she might have been about to pop a baby in the middle of the corridor. This he could handle.

Gavin gave her a nod. "I can't think of anyone who isn't affected. The bloody thing stops when it has a mind to and I have places to be." Not to mention the idea of being trapped in a lift with a bunch of people was NOT in the least bit appealing. And his manners, he hadn't left them up in his office. "Gavin Isaacs. Senior Undersecretary." In the spirit of trying he extended his hand as well. Had to get over this contact thing at some point.
