Victoria looked up as she heard Mariel, “The kids are just getting started and they look to be working great together.” She offered her omniculars to her friend so Mariel could get a better look. The girl was the reason she was here so she should get to see some of it better. “Oh she was, poor thing. What exactly happened?” Victoria had paid attention, but it must not have been close enough, because bad shape? She figured the girl was just cheering on her boyfriend or something.
As it ended and she cheered with Mariel, “Your nephews girlfriend seems very bright to be able to transfigure a hippogriff like that. Will she be going into something with transfiguration after school?” Had Wade mentioned what his friend was going to do? He talked about her enough, she should have remembered, but then again they spoke more about her mother than her present things. After a bit of time Vic saw the blonde girl make her way over to the stands, “Oh there is Minerva I wonder if Wade will be up soon.” She hoped at least it would be nice to congratulate him.
SPOILER!!: Ethan
Ethan had kept his eyes focused intently on the Hogwarts arena, trying to see anything about how Minerva and Wade were faring. He had been worried when the hedges began growing, anxious for how his girlfriend would handle it and especially after they disappeared into the maze. But he knew that she was strong and knowledgeable and that they'd do just fine.. he was sure of it. He was on the edge of his seat, wondering what was going on and it seemed like an eternity until he was able to see a sign of anything. And that came in the form of a hippogriff.
Ethan's eyes grew wide at the sight of the hippogriff flying over the arena, certain he could see Min and Wade riding it. How cool that was, though he couldn't help but to hold his breath a minute as he watched his girlfriend on it. Then as they disappeared again, he waited and waited, wondering again how they were doing. He glanced up at the touch of a hand on his shoulder, giving his aunt a small smile, and wondering how his cousin was doing. He gave her a nod then turned his eyes back to the competition.
Finally he noticed a movement at his side and he grinned as Min came over towards him, obviously finished with the task. "Hey.." he smiled as she sat next to him, then just watched her for a moment, waiting for.. well, anything. "So..?" he started as he watched her curiously while she looked around the grandstands. "How was it? What did you have to do?" He'd like to hear something about her experience.
Minerva was munching on her cookies when her blue eyes made contact with familiar green ones looking at her. She blushed and put a hand over her mouth,
“Sorry” she muffled as she swallowed and threw her arms around him in a hug.
“I did it.. I mean we did it. It was so excited, did you see? Did you see us ride on Henry, I mean the hippogriff? That was amazing. I thought I was going to flip with the hedges, but it wasn’t bad and the hippogriff that was just awesome. Then that last spell I never thought I could do it, but I did and we finished and I’m exhausted.” She leaned against him as she let out a breath. An early bedtime was certainly in her future.
She smiled up at Ethan,
"Have you enjoyed watching? You weren't to lonely sitting up here without me were you?" She couldn't help but grin, because of course he wasn't he probably talked to some people. Hearing some louder voices Minerva turned to see the headmistress talking about cheating and other happenings.
"Sir the headmistress is correct with what she is saying. I've witnessed a few of the things that have happened. I saw first hand one of the Durmstrang students hexing my friends in class and the two very loud girls cheering for the Beauxbaton boy were given a love potion I'm sure of it." As a student leader and having witnessed things that had happened she felt she needed to interrupt and prove her headmistress was right.
