Simon could see that the other man was ashamed for not registering the change in proceedure and the auror waved off the appology. "No need. I guess I've gotten so used to things myself that I forget sometimes that not everyone has." He noticed the occasional new face around the ministry as due course and he supposed it might become more common given his new joint position since they dealt more with each individual within the walls. But the most noticable were within his own department. Those he would likely have to work with at one point or another and be welcoming in anyway he could.

The auror perked up upon hearing what Jasper had to say further. He had found something that may be of use? "Certainly," he said not about to turn down a possible lead. "Anything that could possibly help would be of interest."
