Zéline frowned and tried harder to open the pink book. She gave up after a few seconds and was about to complain to Sébastien about it when she realised she couldn't speak. Not properly, at least. Her face got even more pale and her eyes widened and she clutched the book and huffed in anger. Not only was she annoyed at this whole English-only thing and not she couldn't even speak neither language! Great. That was just great!
She threw the book on the ground and crossed her arms over her chest like a little angry child, her red face turning to the other books as she glared at them. Zéline didn't calm down before rereading the stupid riddle on the parchment she was still holding. 'Pick me up, one of the pink books in sight,
and you will see, i'm quite the tongue-twister if not picked right.'
Zéline pondered angrily over these words and then frowned at the stupid pink book on the floor. 'If not picked right'... did it mean 'picked' as in 'chosen' or in 'picked up'? Or what??? Stupid English language! How could she even know what the riddle meant??
She was definitely going to complain to Headmistress Enzo about this. She had to do something now, though, so she decided to go for the 'picked up' translation to see if it worked. Zéline pulled out her wand and pointed it at the pink book on the ground, trying to use an enchantment to open it. She was no good with non-verbals, though, so she didn't expect much. Looking at Sébastien, she gestured for him to do something himself, since she couldn't speak now. |
