He turned around to have another look around to see if they had missed something. Just double checking on the environment that surrounded them. Nothing seemed to draw his attention. He was just making sure anyway. Better safe than sorry. Sébastien diverted his attention back on his friend who didn't say anything. He thought maybe she had seen something in the book that trigged her attention and got her lost in the words or too focused to translate and understand them.
But that was not it.
She had not yet opened the book. He looked at her curiously then at the book in her hands and noticed that it wasn't opening. He frowned at that and almost reached out to take it from her but then stopped with his hand half way to the book. Drawing his hands away her said, "Can't you open eet?" Just to be sure.
And why wasn't she talking. He exected Zéline to keep complaining about the usage of the language. Yet she did not now do so.
