Were the desks alive? This was quite the question. Harmony looked down at one sadly and trailed her fingers across the surface. "At one time the wood used for these desks was growing and very much alive." And now, not so much. As for how she knew who he was, "As the department head, I make it my business to know names and faces."

He was keeping Joy, then? This pleased the red head and she gave an approving nod and a smile.
