Erm... oops. He hadn't thought of that when he jumped in to save an Alice, and now they were sharing a lizard. He dumped the creature unceremoniously back into her hands before turning back to face the professor. The very grumpy professor.
"I lost mine, and Alice was helping me look. We were taking turns working on hers while we worked so I wouldn't get behind." Mostly true. He'd tried to steal hers, but they ended up both doing the spell work on hers, so it wasn't even really a lie.
"I'll just... Accio my lizard." Shuffle shuffle shuffle.
