Was it so unusual or something to refuse a proposal? She was young. She didn't want to make a mistake. And it's just as well, because after she left, it wasn't like he went chasing after her.
Could they talk about something else now? "Yes. He proposed. I said no. I moved back here and well, I haven't heard from him since. That was like ten years ago though." Ancient history, if you ask her. Was it really that interesting?
South Africa was interesting though. Suddenly, a pang of envy flooded through her. "I see ... what'd you do there? Were you near the Wizarding School in uh .... Azania or something?" Just curious.
