She grinned proudly then turned back to the plant. She eyed it for half a minute before reaching for it with both hands. They needed the stem and they sure needed to PLUCK it, right? Good thing Bentley wasn't around, she wouldn't be too content about it.
However, the blond had nothing against since particular plant, lucky it, and she happened to be in a good mood so she actually got the stem slowly and non destructively. As possible as she could manage anyway. She then stood up, slid the stem into the sack she held then started walking again with Kat brushing dirt off her robes since she was crouched and all. Something might have got stuck to the fabric.
"So that's one thing down." She told Kat excitedly as she kept her eyes on the look out. She wasn't focusing on only one name of the other remaining three cores to look for so she hoped that if she came on one of them she'd notice it and not walk past it.
Kat moved back and gave Cassia way so that the younger Slytherin could harvest the stalk of dittany. She'd let her get it because, well, Cassia did deserve it. She found it and all, not Kat, so it seemed fair and right that she got to get it. Right, yeah? Cassia did a good job though, in finding the dittany. Kat didn't even notice it because it looked like it blended and sort of camouflaged with the other plants... but she wasn't going to admit that. C'mon, seriously? Who would admit that anyway, especially if you were a Quidditch player? They had to have perfectly fine eyesight just sayiiiing.
Once the stalk of dittany was in the sack, Kat looked around for other wand cores... or a Wiggentree. But then from all the screaming she heard and the flailing she saw from one of her favourite Slytherin firsties Caleb, it wasn't that much of a problem. She had to do something though, as a student who held a position in school. SIGHS. She felt responsible.
"
If we have to face that Wiggentree, I think we should find wood lice or a fairy egg," Kat said just because they obviously didn't need bowtruckles messing with their hair. YES, the hair. Save the hair. It could scratch any other body part as long as it is NOT the hair. Looking to her right, she squinted because she might see a wood louse to use as a distraction. But she wasn't touching it though, just levitating it because that's just gross.
Ew.
