Merlin. He couldn't even spin this. Not that he would've wanted to. It had been entirely his fault and he knew. And even if he didn't know it, he felt it. He stood there before the woman looking ponderous, like he couldn't find the word and it was all too overwhelming for him. He didn't want to say a word. He just wanted her to know. Do her thing and know that though he may look like a bird he had not the ability to fly.
