Ellis Recard had been at the ministry a while now and he had still enjoyed these things. They were parties after all and he was always at home during a party. The Quidditch personal relations worker made his way into area hosting the event near the weird centaur fountain and found a glass of champagne from a nearby table.

It was strange being here after the holidays, a lot of stuff had changed. His brother's longtime girlfriend was no longer a Department Head here having moved to work at the French Ministry with Armen and Emily, a woman he sort of fancied now, was also big and bad in the Ministry.

Her hard work and dedication he had once deemed strange seemed to have payed off. And she was the target he was searching for. Like a well aimed hex, Ellis found his way to the burnette dressed up nicely in her evening attire and offered her one of the flutes in his hands. "Excuse me, Miss Brown, I know you're not mym department head but would you, as my superior, like another drink?" He gave her a devilish smile and waited for her to take it. The former Quidditch keeper didn't pay the other people around him any mind.

She looked beautiful tonight, that was for sure. It made him miss the fact that he hadn't hung out with her much in a while--work had had him busy for once.
