You knoooow, now that she got a good look at him, he sort of looked familiar. Maybe he just had one of those faces? "You're welcome." By the way, for saving his rear, quite literally.
Well. January wasn't sure if she was expecting him to accept her offer or not, but his enthusiasm was sure something else. Oh, he wanted her to buy his donuts, too? She laughed with a slight roll of her eyes and snagged the package of donuts from his hand. "Fine." She might have squished them a little, oops. Heh.
Making her way back to the coffee machine, January got herself a cup and filled it up again. Hopefully this one would survive. "I'm January, by the way." She thought he should know the name of the girl who saved his life was buying him coffee. Really, they had both been out of town for a while? "Huh. Where were you working, if you don't mind my asking?" Wouldn't it be even weirder if SHE had been in Romania TOO? Nah, that'd be too many coincidences for one day.
He acknowledged her 'welcome' by running a hand through his hair and smiling again. Goooosh. Would she buy the donuts? He suddenly felt a need to stuff something into his mouth. Eh eh heh heh. "Gosh, you're so generous!" William laughed too when she actually took them and followed her over to the coffee machine with a spring in his step. He had to watch her carefully to see how she worked the thing, then did his best to fill his own up when it was his turn. It only overflowed and burned his hand a little.
"January," Willy repeated, biting his lip as he wiped the HOT HOT HOT HOT excess coffee off his hand. January. Why did that name... and her face, really... seem so familiar? He offered her his reddened hand when it was coffee-free. "Nice to meetcha. I'm William, or Willy, or WWW. Did you... your...." Hmm, how to phrase this? "You didn't happen to go to school in..... Scotland, did you?"
It was an easy enough question. She'd surely get it if she was familiar for the reason he thought she looked familiar, and if not... well he could dodge that one too.
