The dark was a spooky thing, but Gaston had learned to never show his fear. He always knew to remind himself that the only thing to be afraid of was fear itself. Yet as he walked Gaston felt it was exceedingly important that he were careful not to fall. He could not imagine how humiliating that could have been.
He entered the clearing as he adjusted to his game face. The table was in in front of him although he could not tell what lay on it just yet. Gaston took a step forward towards the waist height boulder, he felt around carefully until he grabbed what he thought might have been a torch. Luckily for him it was. He put it on so that the darkness would not make them so blind and so they were able to see things properly.
Before him was; another torch, clearly one was meant for him and one for Adele, a sextant, paper and pen and then a bag he had not opened just yet. All muggle items, he took note of that as well as what they were. From it all he could assume they were to search for a specific star at a specific degree in the sky, or search for a specific star's degree. He was educated and either way he knew the methods of Astronomy. "Hmmm..." He rubbed his imaginary beard in a french manner. There had to be some sort of instruction. This wasn't defense against the dark arts, so there could have not been some ambush about to happen. He turned his head and looked to where the torch shone. The rock with the degrees had only now been noticed. "Zat must be eet zen?" He turned to see if Adele had reached him yet.
