Being by the lake she got the feeling that something was off. No trust. That's what it was. They didn't believe she wouldn't go back on her words.
Lex eyed the lollipop before popping it back into her mouth. A part of her wanted to bite it but then it'd been done faster and she wasn't about to sit here and eat her way through Cassia's stash of candy. That would be horrible of her.
She scowled. "There's never a good reason to disarm your bestfriend and I don't advise you to try either." She didn't expect Cassia to ever try outside of class works and such but after what happened today Lex expected everything. There was no logical reason for her to be disarmed. All she'd done was cast a charm to protect herself when Tag AIMED at her. Rude, just very rude. One didn't ask to be blown up, get their wish then cast at the person that was helping them make it happen. Talk about confused as to what you wanted in life. In future, she would keep all explosions to Aidan. He wouldn't complain.
However...Cassia...just now was making loads of sense. "You might be right." She said contemplatively. The art of talking with candy in your mouth. "I do think I'm missing something, I just don't know what." And something told her she'd have a hard time finding out too...if she even wanted to know.
She nodded. "I'll try, but some things are easier to overlook than others." Her temper was much harder to ignore than a feeling of sadness. It was more fiery and very much hard to miss.
Confused as she had gotten, Cassia didn't notice that Lex had unwrapped one of the lollipops and was now busying her mouth with it. Was it an excuse to not talk. HMMM. The snake didn't like having to puzzle out her bestfriend and try to figure out what was going on on her mind. Which was the case right now. Usually, the lioness is an open book and it wouldn't be hard to tell how she feels. As for now, this wasn't the case.
Glancing at Lex in the corner of her eye, Cassia frowned, too.
disarm your bestfriend. She KNEW it was Aidan. Mhhmm. Alexa just said it. HA. Wasn't this boy ever going to behave? Unless... It really wasn't him. But the other option was almost impossible. "
I won't try," She simply said her mind trying to work out possibilities. "
If I want your wand out of your hand I'll just tell you," That usually works. Although, both the snakette and lioness disagreed on MANY things and bickered lots, both knew that if one asked for something or had a request the other would see to it if possible. Not without complaining sometimes.
"
Then ask for an explanation." She told her with a nod. "
But not when you're too upset," It'd never go well in that case. Anger ruins everything usually and makes it harder to understand. She knew about that first hand.
The snake paused again letting the silence return for a bit before she freed her arm, the one cramped between her and Lex, and stretched it out wrapping it around Lex's shoulders. "
It'll be alright, Lex," She said quietly. She didn't know what really happened and it seemed to be something huge seeing the impact it had on the fourth-year but Cassia knew that things always got figured out. Not in the greatest way sometimes. But still. Nothing remained the same for long.
