Blink. She didn't realize he was still giving out polish kits. Had she missed something? Not that she was complaining, she just didn't expect it. Free stuff was cool, yeah? So she just nodded and continued listening.

...that was a lot of stuff on the board. Penelope was suddenly glad she couldn't go on the trip because now she didn't have to write all that down. No way was she taking that many notes if she didn't have to.

And then he mentioned that they'd be getting wand wood on the trip too and it was like the Ancient Runes thing. Yet another good reason to be happy about not going. If it was anything like what they had to do for that Runes project last term, she wouldn't enjoy. That stuff was weird. 'Course, it was okay when she got to spend time with Ascanius during it, but that was about the only good thing about it.

There was also the fact that her cat actually knocked her gandr thing out the window and basically ruined all effort she'd even put in but....they weren't gonna talk about that. Nope.

So she was just gonna continue listening, not really feeling like trying to think of something else that hadn't been mentioned. She probably had only one good answer in her anyway, and it got her a polish kit. So...silence from her.
