She could have just rolled out of bed in her pajamas and he'd still be thrilled to see her. But as it stood, she did look pretty great in her outfit. He mirrored her grin, pleased she liked how he looked as well. "I'm glad you gave me the idea, actually. I don't think it looks too bad either. Do you think I should shave it off for the fundraiser though?" He had it in his head that a clean-shaven appearance looked better groomed, but if he kept it trimmed enough maybe it would be okay.. or maybe just get rid of it for a short time.

Ethan gave Minerva a small smile as she turned her attention away from Wade. "I'm sure they don't find you annoying," he said, gently squeezing her hand again. "You're their friend, of course they'd want to do stuff with you." And he knew his girlfriend well enough to know that she'd give them space for their couple time too. But he figured she might be feeling insecure. And him not being around might heighten the feeling. Maybe being around another girl who was without her boyfriend more would help with that feeling.

Frowning a bit at the thought of those dreaded turnstiles at one of his favorite locations at the school, Ethan's drifted off slightly as she confirmed that it was true. That was really hindering any young Herbologists.. he wondered what Bentley thought of it. Then his eyes snapped up to hers and he smiled at her words. "That's really great, Min." He took her other hand in his as he looked into her blue eyes. "I'm really proud of you." He knew the issues she had, with good reason, but he was so glad she was able to let go of some of that which he was so passionate about. "I had thought about bringing flowers today, but I wasn't sure.." He gave her a small smile, hopeful that he could again soon. He grimaced just slightly as she mentioned turnstiles at the library too. Sure, it wasn't his favorite place, but he knew she loved it and it was one of the more ideal places to study. Honestly.. how did they expect anyone to get a decent education that way?

One of his more interesting moments in class, he couldn't believe he hadn't told her about it. But the illness that came soon after it probably took its focus. "It was.. very interesting. First the class ate a handful of gillyweed. The sensation of growing gills is really weird," he chuckled. "But you feel like you're suffocating until you jump in the water.. and breathing underwater is actually pretty cool. Anyway.. once we were done there, we had an hour to study the native plants in their natural habitat, then record our observations." He did feel like he learned something that he couldn't have outside the element. Looking down, he added, "I think I didn't do the heating charm right though.. and I think that's part of the reason I got so sick." Or at least that had been his theory.

He nodded as she asked to look at his Charms book. He knew she'd probably like to check out those kinds of Charms. "I'll make sure to bring it home over break so you can read up on it." And maybe cook for him some more? He'd certainly enjoy that. His eyes fell on hers again as she continued and he offered her a small smile. "Sometimes not exciting is not a bad thing.." At least it meant that nothing bad was happening.. last term's excitement was plenty enough. He grinned at her next words. "Jogging? I can tell.. and it probably helps with the dancing, keeping up stamina and all." He mirrored her smile as she talked about the dance and he nodded a bit. "Maybe we can find a place to practice a little later.. if you have time.. Oh, that reminds me.." He reached over to the space on the seat next to him and brought up the small packages he had brought with him.

Minerva couldn’t help but blush why was he being so adorable about the way she was looking today. She loved the complements but it made her awkward as well. She had never taken complements all that well. “You are just being extra sweet today, aren’t you?” She leaned over giving him a small kiss. “Being with you is special to me. This time a part is just.. “ she shook her head there were no words to express how much she truly hated it. Her smile grew as she looked into his green eyes. “As much as I hated them with everything that happened at the beginning of term I am glad you like yours.” she certainly liked it. She thought a moment about his question she really didn’t know either way. “I guess that would be up to you. If you don’t really want if for the event, but don’t want to shave it off I can always charm or transfigure it off for the evening.”

Did they mind, Minerva thought a few moments? She really wasn’t sure, “Well if they do, they are nice enough not to show it, but I do try to stay away so they can have their own time as well. “ Her eyes scanned others coming in and she gave a smile towards Damon and Taylor and then there were more students she didn’t know. She didn’t seem to care about anyone but the person in front of her, because at the moment that was all she cared about. “Doesn’t matter anyway, I’m with you right now.. That’s all that matters.”

Mienrva couldn’t help but beam at him. She knew he would be excited about her nerves not being there for herbology. “I mean I did jump a time or two when flesh eaters were brought up, but I think it’s a start. Dancing, Plants, Romano’s had a mist in class that some thought about the Dementors from last term and that didn’t cross my mind either. I think my healing this summer really did work.” Her little trip to St. Mungos was proving time and time again to have been a good choice. Her heart melted as he said about flowers. He was nothing short of adorable wasn’t he. She loved everything about him. “Oh Ethan that’s so sweet, but you really don’t have to go to any trouble for me. “ She loved the thought of flowers again, but she didn’t want him to go to any trouble. She saw him grimace, “yeah that’s my thought every time I want to sit in my favorite reading spot.” She wasn’t thrilled with the library situation but it wasn’t keeping her away either. “Think they will have them at quidditch matches again?” She was assuming at least.

Minerva listened with a huge interest. Wow his new life and education seemed so interesting. He really was moving forward while she was just stuck. It was so great to hear him be excited about it. “Wow that’s amazing. I would love to do that someday, but my luck I’d do it wrong. She figured she’d drawn or something from not eating it right. Yeah probably safer for her not to do anything with plants that involved breathing a different way. She frowned at his charm talk, “Well many times a virus has to enter you to get as sick as you were, but yes if your body temperature dropped if the lake was cold it could have easily broke down your system.” She continued to frown thinking of him as sick as he was and she couldn’t help out to take care of him. She hated that so much. “Well I can help you with that if you need it to be stronger. I can’t have you getting sick again. At least when I’m not around to take care of you.” A small smile crossed her lips.

That would be great to have over break she thought of the cooking she could try with it, but would it freak her grandparents out? She usually had a no want policy around them. Well maybe if they just didn’t come into the kitchen. She would have to see, “Yes I want to see it over break and of course I’ll be cooking don’t worry.” She knew he liked when she cooked and she missed doing it since he wasn’t at school she really hadn’t done much of it. She had to agree a little bit with him, “Yeah you’re probably right, but I just feel so lame compared to all your new adventures. Are you sure I’m not keeping you from doing everything possible at Uni?” She was glad he was still hers, but she didn’t want to be the reason he didn’t do things. Her grin grew as he said he noticed, she looked down at her self for a glance, was it that noticeable? She figured it probably was since she had been jogging like every day and dancing any chance she got, plus quidditch was also a workout. “I’ve kept bus that’s for sure.” Minerva nodded she really wanted to try and practice so that would be great if they could find a place today. “Do you think we could? I mean we really need to try before that fundraiser.” She was starting to get nervous about it.
