For his decades of contribution to the movie business, actor Warwick Davis received an honorary doctorate from University Centre Peterborough, a joint venture between Anglia Ruskin and Peterborough Regional College, earlier this week. Davis, whose credit outside the
Harry Potter series include
Star Wars,
Willow, and much more, got the Honorary Doctor of Arts award. The ceremony and Davis' speech at the Peterborough Cathedral can be seen here.

Warwick said: "I've never really achieved particularly academically in the past. This is just a lovely thing - to be honoured for something I love doing, being a performer and an actor. It was the most beautiful ceremony, I love the formality, it was a lovely, lovely occasion. I'm really, really proud."
