Back to Tag. She hadn't noticed that that compliment sounded kind of weird until he pointed out. That made her let a small laugh. "I suppose that is true," She said to him. Then he had to explain it and she felt her cheeks burning. I like your face. Well, she most certainly didn't know that it meant that. Not that she didn't find his face ....but if she had the guts to say it everything would have been so different right now. She paused processing her words before saying. "I meant it, you know." That took all self-esteem to be said. And of course she was referring to the compliment but she sure wasn't brave enough to say it directly.
She shook her head feeling stupid that she confused the nickname that she came up with. "Yeah, erm.. I know, I just.." Am dumb? Making a fool of myself? Luckily, Tinka was back again and Cassia didn't have to respond for now. "Thank you, Tinka!" She grinned at the house-elf and reached to take the milk and the pan but Tag already took care of that. "Thanks again, We'll tell you if we need anything else," She called over behind the elf who was already heading somewhere else in the kitchen.
Heh. It was nice having the elf for a bit.
Cassia took the whisk from Tag then turned around so that she faced him, making the table to her right. "Err.. Sorry, I've been acting a bit weird," She said non-too casually. "There's... just a lot on my mind," She said quietly turning the whisk in her hands.
Where were they in the pancakes making again?
What was true? Oh dear. Tag was starting to get confused. It was never good when Tag got confused. Either he would ramble about something or say something really stupid. Either of those two. What did Cassia suppose was true? How she liked his egg cracking skills and how it sounded like something he would say as a compliment. Not wanting there to be any more awkward, or near awkward silence Tag simply said "
Yeah" even though he didn't know what it was in reference to. More stuff! Tag was a confused leprechaun! "
Yeah." said the boy again.
Smart, huh?
Next Cassia was thanking Tinka as well. How kind of her. Tag watched her some more and just stood there silently.
Oh, yes, Lady in the making. You are acting weird. An, Tag thinks he knows why. "
Yeah, I know there's a lot on your mind." That sounded kinda creepy Tag. Getting the pan Tag simply put his wand against its surface and tapped it, hoping that the pan would be hot by the time the pancake batter was ready to be poured.
His fingers dancing on the countertop Tag glanced over at Cassia and whispered, "
Cassia...." the boy absentmindedly rubbed his face. He wanted it to stay that way. People liked his face.
"Cassia.... I know...err.. about the stuff that may be on your mind."
Because that didn't sound weird.
