And instead, became incredibly embarrassed that he was outsmarted and made to look foolish in front of the ENTIRE Common Room. And on the first day of school too! THIS is the impression Dora was giving all the new kids - new GIRLS, new FIRST YEARS - of him. What a brilliant friend.
Though his face was red, more from embarrassment than as a side effect of being upside down, he tried to remain as calm and cool as he could. He tried crossing his arms to look tough, but then thought it probably just made him look like a stubborn four year old. Which he wasn't.
...At least his shirt was falling up/down and his Quidditch stomach was showing.
The fourteen year old ran a hand through his hair as he floated toward Dora and tried to avoid eye contact with anyone else. "Real funny, Dora. Congratulations. Now put me down."
Dora watched Aidan with an expression that was somewhat casual, as if this was something they did all the time, her gaze following him as she levitated him directly over a seat beside herself.
"I'm not being funny, Aidan. I'm being a concerned friend." Not to mention she was kind of enjoying getting to use magic again, this was the first time she'd cast a spell since they'd arrived back. Who knew it'd be so soon.
Thanks, Aidan.
She dangled him for a moment contemplative, not sure if putting him down was the best idea.

Oh, but Mo was an idea.
"I don't know yet," She glanced over at him briefly then looked back up at a dangling Aidan, speaking mostly to him now.
"Do I need the assistance of Marcus Orion, or will you behave?" Because she would gladly use it if necessary.
