IN THEORY Olly was quite good with directions. She hardly ever got lost. Only this castle was so big and everything just pretty much looked the same. And they had moving staircases too. Staircases that all looked the same. And they MOVED. Like, why? Also somebody should give every new student a map to this place. How was she supposed to find all the classrooms, huh? Exactly. She wasn't. So she had decided to at least try and locate most of the places where the lessons would take place.
That was how she had ended up here. And the smell was terrible. Did something die here or-

There was a...they did know there was a swamp INSIDE the castle, right? Olly stepped a little closer with her head cocked to the side with interest. Huh. Were they allowed to...examine the swamp too? Was it always there? Was this something left over from last term when the school was broke? Maybe it had rained in through the roof. Which was why Olly tilted her head back to look at the ceiling.
