Benjy kinda smirked at his wife's response. She knew him too well for him to be able to get away with anything. So rather than saying anything he just continued to dish up the meal, his favorite, steak and mashed potatoes with steamed green beans. When his wife asked him if he had cooked it, the redhead nodded. "Yep, all made just how you like it. It's your favorite." He commented back, with an equally playful wink. He knew that she knew that this was his favorite meal, so he decided to be playful about it.
Sitting down finally, now that everything had been served, Benjy started eating, stopping every now and again just to gaze lovingly at his wife while she ate. Every time he stopped, he would put his utensils down and look like he was about to start talking, but never did start talking. He would just gaze at her, trying to build up the courage to talk.
Sky smiled. Steak and mashed potatoes....Wasn't this his favorite? And some of hers, she loved mashed potatoes!
"Yum, seems perfect! My favorite?..." She gave another playful wink before taking her fork and starting to eat. Every few seconds she would see Benjy place his utensils down and looked like he was going to start speaking...
Was he scared to speak to her or something? She raised an eyebrow,
"Are you trying to say something? Or savoring every last bite!" She chuckled and smiled seeing again him put down his utensils and look at her...Few more stares and she would have sworn something was happening behind her.
