I've had one of those before." Yep. When she had to deal with a very exhausting muggle situation, and some muggle had told her that she needed a Snickers because she was acting like Oscar The Grouch. Who the heck was Oscar The Grouch, anyway?

Whoa, what? "Saudi Arabia?" She repeated, lifting a neatly manicured eyebrow. He didn't really fit the bill when it came to looking like a Saudi Arabian. "That's a unique place to live." She wondered if he would elucidate. And she hoped he might, but somehow, she doubted it. He seemed a little reserved.

Aaha, a second-year. Excellent, so here was someone who could actually give her some insight. "And how's Hogwarts, then?" He was returning, so she could only assume that he liked it all right. "I made the team this past year, for the first time. I'm not sure if I'll pursue it at Hogwarts.. we'll see," she shrugged. "Why, do you play?" And if he had played for a school team as a first-year, she would certainly have to commend him for that.

Just as she was taking another gummy worm from the package, the realization that they didn't know one another's names suddenly hit her. "I'm Schuyler, by the way."
Forrest nodded to himself when she said Snickers was good. He was glad he got the correct sweets. He looked around to see whether there was anyone waiting for his painstakingly slow purchase he coudn't focus while talking, okay? and upon see no one, he turned his attention back to her again. There was only 1,25 pounds left. He was just going to get whatever it could.

Why was she raising her eyebrow like that? Little boy just stared at the stranger girl. "Yeah, it is. There's this international school where all the foreigner children go to, though, and there're also neighbourhoods for us. So where we lived wasn't that unique." Whatever she meant by 'unique'. He shrugged. "My family's still there." That was why they dropped him here as early as they could to catch the plane--he wasn't going to think about them. Not while there was a stranger girl ready to laugh at him because he missed his family already.

He checked the price tags of some items, and entered the number for chips. He stuffed that to his pocket too. It was ten pounds spent on sweets that would keep him nourished at the so-called feast. He knew he looked funny with sweets poking out of his pockets, but who cared? He hoped they wouldn't fall as he walked.

Now she had his full attention. It took all his will not to snort at her question.

"Well..." Well, well, well. He wasn't going to lie to her. He couldn't lie to anyone. "The school was broke last year, so we had to pay for everything. Food was awful. We cleaned the castle by ourselves. We even washed our clothes." He made a face. Did she understand why he'd bought so many sweets? Could she stop eyeing his pockets? "But the lessons were so much fun. They still say the education quality is top-class." He shrugged. He didn't have anything to compare it with. Maybe she would enlighten him, having seen the American school before. He couldn't lie to her, but he could not tell some stuff. He didn't want her to be worried, after all. He just wanted her to prepare herself for a bit of cleaning. So he didn't mention the dementors and ice-cream. Hogwarts was still a safe school... hopefully. "The Headmistress promised to solve this money issue, though. We'll see."

So America had Quidditch too. So she was a player. "Why? You didn't like playing?" Was she hit by a bludger? Was that why she was reluctant to try out again? Or maybe the rules were different.

...haha, funny she was. Asking whether he played. "No, I'm not talented enough." His voice was bitter a tiiiiiiiny bit. He just hoped she wouldn't notice.

"I'm Forrest. Nice to meet you." Smile.
