Lydia cried, clinging to the first year's arm, Blake clinging to the other crying with her. "Please, Lydia...Blake...not in public!" Alexandra whispered to her daughter and son, prying their hands off Dylan's arm. The young girl sniffled and walked alongside her brother, looking up at his with tears in her eyes. Blake quickly wiped away his tears as they walked and reached platforms nine and ten.
After grabbing the children's hands, Alexandra stepped back to give Dylan some space to run. Before he took his first step, she suddenly grabbed the collar of his shirt and turned him around and wrapped her son in a tight hug. "I'll miss you sweetheart," she whispered, kissing the top of his head. Soon his father Chris was standing behind him, hugging him too. "We both will." he said, patting his son's head. "Us too!" the two younger siblings said in unison, joining the group hug. Dylan wasn't embarrass about it though. He hugged them all back tightly, fighting back the tears that were about to burst from his eyes at any second. "Do you have everything?" Alexandra asked as everyone broke away from the hug. Dylan nodded. "Robes?" Nod. "Books? Quills? Parchment?" Nod nod nod. "You sure you have everything? And are you warm enough in this?" she asked, gesturing to his hoodie. Another nod. "Mum, I promise I have everything. You checked about ten times, remember?" he asked with a small laugh. Alexandra sighed and nodded, grabbing her son's hand and looking at the wall. "Ready?" she asked. The boy nodded and gripped his trolley more tightly, then they ran straight for the wall with the rest of the family right behind them.
