Making his way back to level four, Charles licked his lips at the strange taste left over in his mouth from the love potion. The effects had not been immediate, but as he walked, he noticed a sudden change in his balance. He grew a little dizzy... No. Not dizzy. He felt lighter. Why, of course he felt lighter! Even his lips floated up into a smile as he made his way over to his desk. He was so light, he misstepped and almost tripped over a chair. Almost as he had done at the Ministry Orientation, when he had met Ms. Danvers. Oh, what was her first name? He furrowed his eyebrows, trying to remember the name of the enchanting woman who had helped him up.
The spindly gentleman leaned back in his chair and glared at the ceiling. The woman with the beautiful brown hair, and those sparkling eyes. It was going to drive him mad. But her last name was lovely enough. Danvers, yes. There had to be a way to find out. Charles stared down blankly at the paperwork that sat on his desk now, seeming to engage in it, but instead focused on trying to remember in which department the lovely lady had said she worked... |
