There was still a bit more left until she had calmed down enough for that last little hint of color to disappear and her hair to be back to its normal pink-streaked auburn, but she felt proud that she’d accomplished getting her control back as much as she had on her own. Now there would just be the train ride to look forward to, and hopefully locating Patrick, since he’d been noticeably absent from the feast. She knew she’d find him if he was hiding out on the train, though, especially since there wasn’t any other way for him to get from Hogwarts to London, let alone to Galway afterward. He had to be on the train somewhere, and even if she couldn’t find him, she could have Accio look. One of them would find him, or she’d just go see if Beezus felt any better than before. One way or another, she wouldn’t end up sitting by herself on the ride back to Kings Cross.
After depositing her trunk into the luggage compartment, shifting a few more pieces of chocolate from it to her shoulder bag just in case, along with a sketchbook and some pencils, she’d set off to look through the compartments. She’d let Accio roam, but the cat seemed to be sticking close for now to the point of almost tripping her a few times. It was weird, but she figured the tabby cat had gone through just as much as she had. Maybe he was paranoid too, but she was fairly sure dementors wouldn’t be invading the train. Especially not after they’d gotten further away from Hogsmeade, and she’d managed to make her way toward the front cars. Once she’d gotten there, she heard a familiar owl squawk and beelined for a closed compartment door. Not even bothering to check and make sure she had the right one, she slipped inside, shutting the door again after Accio had ran in after her. “There you are,” she said, finally looking and seeing her boyfriend sitting there by himself and going over to him. She’d comforted Beezus at the feast, now she needed some, and she slid down onto the floor to lean against his legs as her cat crawled into her lap. Group cuddling was needed. Right now, having a compartment to himself wasn’t all that bad but soon enough Patrick only began to become annoyed at the silence; funny enough it should have been something which he had been used to after spending his earlier years at Hogwarts practically being quiet and not taking to anyone, well at least that had been until a certain Ravenclaw introduced herself to him. That little two letter introduction had been what opened the door to a lot of things that basically made him become the sixteen year old superhero that he was today and honestly it was better than just closing himself off to the world since that wasn’t exactly any fun, it was more work than he was willing to deal with; of course everything else now was so much better. If he didn’t talk though, he still would have made chocolate which definitely had been something that everyone was looking for this term even if most times he wanted to keep it all to himself, not entirely possible but that hadn’t meant that it wasn’t worth a try anyway. Somehow the idea of trying to hide the chocolate had never been dropped from his mind but he did know that it would have been found eventually anyway, the stubbornness had merely prevented him from giving up entirely; superheroes didn’t give up after all, otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to save the world from the bad people that wanted to take it over for their own purposes and thoughts like that only made him a little scared.
Now he had needed something to occupy his time and the realization of his notebook being in his messenger bag had made him quite happy, at least while he was waiting, he could have continued writing the story which had taken up most of the term but it really had been worth it in the end especially considering that meant he’d be finished the story and it would have gone with the rest of his completed pieces of writing that were on the shelf right back above his bed back home. It seemed just as he had taken out the notebook, the sound of the compartment door opening had caught his attention and out of the corner of his eye, noticed Accio walking in. Huh, that meant either Kendall was nearby or.. on the floor? “I’m not sure it’s comfortable on the floor, you can come up and sit on the seat beside me after all.” he replied, merely frowning in curiosity and somewhat asking a question at the same time. Why his girlfriend was on the floor of the compartment hadn’t made any sense to him but maybe he would have found out why she was there soon enough, it was only a matter of time until she started talking.
