Gabi stomped into her office, on a mission with her little vase of Floo Powder from Aron's office. If her hunch was correct, she might have this whole mess figured out, which would be quite a relief!

Not a minute after she walked in the door, however, a small memo floated in. Oh, a fancy cat! She wondered who that one was from. As it opened, she quickly scanned it over and then wrinkled her eyebrows. She'd specifically told Eliza NOT to go to a Department Head's office who was BUSY!! Find someone who was lounging around to bother. Whether or not she did it RUDELY as Roxanne stated was another question, and she had no clue if the woman was exaggerating or not. UGH. Whatever. That had to wait. She had more pressing issues to tend to. Once she had this solved, she'd talk to Roxanne. But for now...

She took out her wand and checked the connection. Alright, the code was correct for England, so that didn't need to be fixed. Now, to see if her hunch was correct - she took a pinch of Aron's floo powder and dropped it into the flames. Sure enough, they turned a greenish-whitish color that wasn't normal, and she waved her wand to check the connection again. AHA! IT HAD CHANGED! It was now set to...Serbia? Of all the places to accidentally be sent to!

So she quickly fixed the connection and cleaned out her fireplace, which took her a few minutes to make sure she had gotten out all traces of the bad powder. Now, for her own jar, which she was certain had been bought by Maintenance around the same time as his...she tossed it in the flames and once again, they became bright white. After checking the connection, she noticed that her hunch was correct - the connection had changed again. Now it was set for Canada.

There was a default in the Floo powder, and it was messing up the connections! She was unsure if it was mixing up ALL the connections, or just the country specific one, but she had to make sure they were all fixed and reprogrammed just to be safe.

Now, she just had to wait for her employees to return with their findings, and they'd be able to fix this issue for good! In the meantime, she glanced at the cat memo again and groaned. Ugh. She hated erratic employees. And other department heads. She didn't like anyone in general.
