He was biting his lip and then just like that he looked away. She could have sworn she saw him wibbling before that lip bite. "Um...Tobias?" She spoke up with her quiet voice.
She'd seen him.
How much had she noticed?
Well, it didn't really matter because as soon as Tobias looked back his lower lip trembled again and his eyes got all shiny but he TOTALLY DIDN'T CRY. He was being brave, or as brave as he could manage. Because there was too much sad.
Not wanting to demand that she stay, because that was all selfish of him, Tobias scrambled for something to say before...
"I don't want you to leave."
The truth, but not demanding she stay. Fair.

"You'll help Ella keep the team in line yeah? She needs some one like you with high spirits on the Team."
Tobias decided not to argue with Oakey. HE didn't believe the school would crumble with Oakey helping. There'd been loads of problems recently and Toby KNEW that without Oakey around things could have been worse. Like when he helped protect them on the Quidditch pitch AND at the Quidditch party.
He gave a little smile again and looked up at Oakey. All his high spirits had gone, but maybe this was a time that it was okay to lie and pretend like he was as happy as usual.
"I will. I'll bounce on them if they ever get sad." Quote:

"Oh... it'll be a shame not to be able to fly for two months," Not that Tobias really needed any practice or anything. Dude was a BRILLIANT Keeper and he was... twelve? Yeah? Man! "If I didn't live in a Muggle area... I would invite you over to mine to fly around. But I have video games, if you're interested." Everyone loved Mario Kart, yeah?
Wait, he lived near a beach? NEAR a BEACH? "That sounds awesome!" he said, smiling a little bit more, "And, erm, I like your monkey, by the way." It was nice that him and Ells had both brought their stuffies along to the feast.
Alec watched as the guy had headed off to go over towards... oh hey! Forrest, right? From the Start of Term feast and that Quidditch match. He... seemed like a quiet dude. Maybe. Nevertheless, Alec smiled a little and waved at the younger boy.
That was super nice of Alec... Tobias was really hoping to maybe practice flying with him next term but... video games? THAT would do just nicely. Toby gave another little smile. [v]"Video games are awesome."[/b] They were, of course, the only things that got Toby to settle down and stop bouncing.
"That'd be neat. Yeah."
Totally.
"Where abouts d'you live?"
OH... Alec was complimenting Bobo. More awesome points for Alec. Tobias just smiled at that. He was starting to gradually feel more happier.

While he didn't sob, he was on the verge of tears. He didn't even hear Tobias. He didn't even see him. It was just Sonea and his watery eyes.
...he hadn't done anything wrong. Why was she so mean?

Yyyyyyyeah... something had definitely gone on.
Tobias immediately felt a small surge of anger in himself as he noticed how wound up Forrest was getting. Forrest was his friend, and Tobias was immediately loyal to any and all of his friends, and if someone had upset Forrest then Toby was having none of it.
He closed the remaining gap between him and Forrest and the Slytherin girl.
Picking on
Forrest?
No.
"Forrest," Tobias spoke, slightly louder this time, just to make sure he was heard. He glanced at the Slytherin girl and then completely ignored her after that, because she was walking off anyway. Good thing, too, because Tobias wasn't sure he'd be able to stop from grabbing a drink and throwing it straight back in her face. Impulsiveness and all that.
"Forrest, come and sit with me," he repeated, but with more conviction this time.
"I'm sitting with Ella. I've got something I want to show you."
He didn't mention the sticky stuff that was over Forrest, obviously something that had spilled (been tipped?) over him. He was sure an older student would help clear him up. Tobias just tried to give Forrest the most meaningful look he could muster and gently placed his hand on the other boy's arm. Really tentatively though... he didn't want to surprise or anger him.
But now Tobias definitely needed to talk to Forrest.
Just, y'know, over
here.
